Giving Back

Youth Financial Literacy Initiative, sponsored by Kelsey Financial

We have aspirations of creating a more financially independent world through free financial education for young individuals (under 30) that are just starting out in the world of all things, job, budget, savings, investing, debt management related, and so on.  In partnering with other local professionals, we intend to offer a curriculum that supports a culture of youth financial literacy.

Immediate Actions include but are not limited to:

     -  Participation in the Moorpark USD Annual Scholarship Awards Program

     -  Kiwanis Circle K (college level) Career Fair on March 23rd, 2019 in Riverside, CA

     -  The creation of a Youth Financial Literacy curriculum as soon as possible.

Donor Advised Funds (DAF)

A giving style investment account established as a public charity, 501(C)(3).  It allows donors to make a charitable contribution to an account in the name of a foundation of their choosing and placed out of their estate, receiving an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.  Donors can contribute cash and stock to the fund as frequently as they like, and then recommend grants to their favorite charities on behalf of their personally named charitable foundation.  The assets in the DAF also grow, tax-deferred creating the potential for leaving a legacy of giving long after the originating individual is gone.

We desire, on a pro bono basis, to aid anyone that is interested in opening and contributing to a donor advised fund becuase we have a continued mission to make the world a better place with our resources in the financial advisory industry.

Several donor advised fund custodians that we have spoken to include:

Vanguard Charitable ($25,000 minimum account size)

Fidelity Charitable ($5,000 minimum account size)

Your Unclaimed Property Project

California's Unclaimed Property Law requires corporations, businesses, associations, financial institutions, and insurance companies (referred to as "Holders") to annually report and deliver property to the California State Controller's Office after there has been no activity on the account or contact with the owner for a period of time specified in the law - generally (3) three years or more.

We desire to help you reclaim YOUR PROPERTY for FREE.
